A Brief History
Born and raised in Houston, Texas with an old camcorder in hand, shooting “horror movies” with my brother and crappy Jackass knock off videos with my cousins. The magic of the moving picture has always captured me and throughout my life I have been lucky enough to explore that curiosity and have helped tell some amazing stories along the way.
College Years
Sculpture and Animation were the stepping stones that guided me further down this path. I would spend hours animating a couple seconds of footage and even longer rendering it out. Once I had the footage and was able to start editing it, I felt the magic really begin to flow through me. After college, I purchased my first “nice” camera (Lumix GH2) and taught myself how to shoot video in order to get into the editing room as quickly as possible.
Time Isn’t Money Tour
After living on the road for three and a half months, documenting my friend’s musical tour back in 2014, I found that telling stories through video was something that I was starting to get really good at. I had to find a way to keep that creative river flowing in order to further hone that skill. Once the name SculptedFilms was thrown out I knew I had found the avenue through which I could continue doing what I loved.
As the years have gone by, my family has grown and priorities are constantly shifting but telling stories will always be an important piece of my life and I hope we can work together to tell yours.
