This was a day we felt honored to just to be present for, and trusted to capture. Theirs was a love that waited a long time for this day, and its magic did not disappoint a single person in attendance.
It was very evident throughout the day that these two are very loved by their friends and family a individuals and together, and I just love it when that happens. Their pastor hit the nail on the head – if Jennifer and Eddie thought they were going to go up to an island in Northern Michigan to get away and get hitched without the whole big to-do – they were wrong! It seemed like no one wanted to miss out on seeing this day, these two, this love, and I don’t blame them because it’s a beautiful thing to witness.
I can’t talk about this day without talking about the vendors we got to work with because its them to helped make Jennifer and Eddie’s day so perfect and easy. Mission Point was as gorgeous, kind, and accommodating as always, but Emerald City Designs truly outdid themselves with decking out the Cypress Room to look like absolute magic. And Jennifer and Eddie shipped in DC editorial photographer (and friend of theirs!) CTHRULENS to photograph their day along with his second shooter and they could not have been more gracious and easy to shoot alongside.
Sidenote – peep that title illustration work! Jane from Olive + Knüt really outdid herself of this one, and it’s one of my faves.
All around, this day was a dream. Here are a few of the photos I snapped while filming:
